Description American vintage New England Flaky Crust Pie Table Talk metal pie plate tin. The plate has air holes in the base to ensure a crisp pie base. There are a few rust spots in places. Table Talk was founded in 1924 in Worcester, MA by two Greek immigrants who came to the United States to build a better life for themselves and their families. Mr. Theodore Tonna and Mr. Angelo Cotsidas met while working for a local Greek bread baker. After a trip home to Greece, Tonna and Cotsidas decided to open their own bakery. Today, the pies come in disposable foil plates, but before that, they (and all mass-produced pies) were baked and sold in aluminium pans. Table Talk aluminium pans, boasting the phrase “New England Flaky Crust Pie,” have since become an easy and affordable collector’s item. Please remember when buying vintage items, they will have signs of use but that is also what makes them so unique. We do our best to photograph and explain the condition of the item as best we can. If you have any questions about a particular item, please contact us. Please take the time to look at all pictures. Product Code: 54425/CON Styling: Ideal for any collector, use to cook your own pies at home, or display on a shelf in the kitchen, in a café, bakery or restaurant.
