Description American vintage Jones Pie Inc. metal pie plate tin. The plate has air holes in the base to ensure a crisp pie base. There are a few rust spots in places, and a small dent on the base. Jones Pies Inc. may have been a smaller, regional company in the U.S.A., as many pie producers during that time were local operations. Pie tins like this were often sold with the pie and then returned or reused. The metal construction suggests it was made before the widespread use of disposable aluminium pie pans, likely from the 1930s to 1950s.
